One in 10 men in some areas of Gloucester are unemployed.
New statistics have shown that men in Westgate, Podsmead, Barton and Tredworth wards are all still searching for work.
The figures come despite an investment of 6 million pounds to help train people in the city to find work through the Gloucester Works scheme.
There were over 3,000 unemployed people in Gloucester in December making them the worst area of the county.
